Android Users Hungry for Ice Cream Sandwich
And why wouldn't they be? The latest and greatest operating system from Google is just as sleek and customizable as it's predecessors, and even more intuitive.
Let's take a look at what Android users can expect from Android 4.0.
The overall look and feel of the user interface has been redefined, complete with a new lock screen, upgraded widget functions, and powerful multi-tasking. The development team really took a lot of the key features of the operating system back to the drawing board, and created an amazing new version of everyone's favorite smartphone operating system.
Some of the new and improved features found in Ice Cream Sandwich include-
New Home Screen Folders and Favorites:
Welcome to the new way to categorize your apps! You can quickly create logical groups simply by dragging one app icon directly on top of the other app that you want to group it with. This creates a customizable folder that is accessible from the Home Screen. There is also a new Favorites folder that allows you to add apps, files, and folders into an easy to access menu.
Resizable Widgets:
New and improved Widget functions in Android 4.0 allow you to access music, apps, messages, social media & much more all in a resizable, easy to navigate widget. Talk about convenience!
Incoming Call Options:
The days of phone tag are now over with Ice Cream Sandwich. The new operating system allows you to send a quick, custom text message reply immediately from the Home Screen, without having to type, think, or talk. Now that is productivity at it's finest!
Improved Texting & Spellcheck:
Just in case the long list of upgrades was not enough to make you an Ice Cream Sandwich believer, Android has even improved their already powerful text prediction and spell check functions. With a single touch, users can select from a list of spelling suggestions, or add the current word to the phone's dictionary.
